L'événement People-to-People de la TICAD.

Les TICAD Games sont des compétitions sportives, culturelles, scientifiques et technologiques. Ils incluent des disciplines emblématiques comme le kendō, l'ikebana et des événements scientifiques — aux côtés des éditions Sommet et intermédiaires.

LIGNÉE

Les TICAD Summit Games célèbrent et renforcent l'esprit communautaire de la TICAD, suivant la pratique de nombreux sommets — les Jeux du Commonwealth (1930), les Jeux de la Francophonie (1987) et les Jeux des BRICS (2016). Ils intègrent les jeunes et les populations de base au processus TICAD et complètent les initiatives éducatives telles que l'Initiative ABE, le GHRD, G-STREAMS, GPS Learning et G-PISTE.

Budō is the heartbeat of TICAD Games, with Kendō — the way of the sword — at its centre. More than a martial art, Kendō is a philosophical practice that shapes character through respect, discipline, and perseverance. Around the dojo, delegations from across the African continent, Japan, and TICAD Partner countries converge for an exciting program of competitions and people-to-people exchange — a tangible expression of TICAD's mission to foster partnerships, mainstream youth, and build community across nations through shared effort and chivalrous conduct.

The Culture dimension of TICAD Games gathers three quintessential Japanese arts. Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, is a meditative practice of harmony, balance, and simplicity — each composition capturing the beauty of nature and the changing seasons through the careful placement of stems. Origami, the art of paper folding, transforms a single sheet into intricate forms, embodying precision, creativity, and patience. Taiko, the thunder of Japanese drums, brings the festival to life — a powerful, communal rhythm that has accompanied ceremonies, harvests, and celebrations for centuries, connecting performers and audience in a single heartbeat.

Qu’est-ce que les TICAD Games ?

Les TICAD Games sont l’événement officiel People-to-People de la Conférence Internationale de Tokyo sur le Développement de l’Afrique (TICAD). Ils rassemblent athlètes, étudiants et délégations culturelles d’Afrique, du Japon et des pays partenaires autour de trois piliers : Budō, Culture, Innovation.

Quand et où se tiendra la prochaine édition ?

La deuxième édition officielle est Miyazaki 2026, qui célébrera le 70ᵉ anniversaire des relations diplomatiques Tunisie–Japon. Les dates seront confirmées avec le calendrier TICAD.

Qui organise les TICAD Games ?

Un comité international réunit fondateurs et partenaires : Tunisian Kendo League, AATUJA (Association d’amitié Tunisie–Japon), Nippon Budo, Mentors Institute, TAKOLOR International et la Fondation Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed.

Quelles disciplines sont au programme ?

Le Kendō est la discipline phare. Les éditions incluent également des arts culturels (Ikebana, Origami, Taiko), un symposium Bushidō, AFJASST des Eaux, et des échanges entre délégations People-to-People.

Où a eu lieu la première édition officielle ?

La première édition officielle — Yokohama 2025 — s’est déroulée au Yokohama Budokan en août 2025, en parallèle de TICAD 9. Elle a inauguré le tournoi international de Kendō, un symposium Bushidō et des prestations Taiko.
